As from January 1st 2019 the Trustees and staff of Age Connected at the Acorn Centre have taken the decision to introduce an annual membership.

As some of you may be aware we do have a membership already in place and some of you are members. The new annual membership will replace the old one and all members will be transferred to the new format.

The new membership will not make any difference to the entrance fee of £2.00 to the Acorn Centre and you will not need to be a member to come into the Centre.

The new membership will cost £5.00 per household per year and for this you will receive regular information on all events Age Connected and the Acorn Centre will be holding throughout the year. The main difference to the new membership is that some of these events such as our Theatre trips and picnics will be for members only. Other events throughout the year for example our Tea Dances, Older Peoples Day, St Andrews Day etc. will be offered to members first. For the larger events we do have to put a limit on the number of tickets we can offer for safety regulations.

Another reason for joining is that its a great way to show your support for the Charity.

Please remember this will not affect anyone coming into the Acorn Centre on normal days and paying £2.00 entrance fee.

But to make sure you can come to all our outings and events and show your support to the Charity then please become a member. In the coming months our aim is to increase the number of outings and events we offer, trying to include something for everyone.
