Hello, my name is Paula Waters-Bunn and I recently joined the trustees of Age Connected in July 2022. I am the Chair of the board of trustees and Centre manager for the GYUWC which is based in the Acorn Centre and has been for a number of years now. I am also a local Borough Councillor who represents the Southtown & Cobholm ward.

I became a trustee of Age Connected as I have experienced the most valuable work that the centre provides to its community. My mother enjoyed every minute of the time she spent here before she passed away. She was so sorry she had not been here sooner as she was always made to feel so welcome and part of the Age Connected family. 

That is why I am here, this isn't just a service for the over 50's in our community. It's a family for some who have none, somewhere people feel welcome and at home, somewhere they are safe and at the same time somewhere they can go and have fun as well as a bite to eat and a cuppa. I am very glad I have become part of this family and I promise to do my best to keep it that way.
